A History of Distinction

Bruce D. Desfor founded Meyers & Desfor in 1967. A respected presence in the community, he is the only lawyer in Pennsylvania to serve as President of the Trial Lawyer's Association and an American Association of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Fellow. Originally, our law firm handled a wide variety of litigation issues, including personal injury cases. In 1980, when Pennsylvania passed the no-fault divorce code, Mr. Desfor visited every county in the state and taught seminars on the new code. This event helped change the nature of our practice. Today we focus on family law, helping families throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

Housed in a historical residence that dates back to 1822, our office is located virtually in the shadow of the State Capital and the Courts. With a striking two and one-half story atrium roofed over with transparent domes, the building has become a symbol of the enduring nature of our law practice.
